About Plantbezorgd

A passion for plants and the passion of Webworx come together in the new webshop of Plantbezorgd. As the name suggests, Plantbezorgd provides indoor and outdoor plants that can be easily delivered. For a clear and simple ordering process, Plantbezorgd was looking for a new webshop. With solid research, a clear flow and appropriate design, Webworx came up with an innovative e-commerce platform.

Starting with thorough research

Webworx began the transformation of Plantbezorgd with in-depth research. The baseline measurement of the existing webshop served as a starting point for improvements. The main goal was to optimize usability, which meant making the buying process effortless. Webworx discovered - based on the Fogg Behavior Model - that complexity lowers the motivation to take action. Therefore, we focused on an approachable design and intuitive navigation to increase the motivation for purchases.

User-centered

Research showed that all crucial plant information needed to be clearly presented. Think care advice and matching items, as well as plant specifications. Webworx made it possible to make this information collapsible and expandable and also met the need for buying a larger number of plants including visible discounts.

Persuasive design

The functional wireframe served as the basis for user testing. Here they evaluated the flow and placement of elements and buttons. The results of these tests led to optimizations that clarified the user experience. In doing so, Webworx applied persuasive design with a focus on building unity, reliability and exclusivity.

The result: a natural web process

In the end, we built a website that provided a clear, calm and user-friendly experience. For consumers, it was clear at a glance what product they had in mind and what options were available. To increase customer focus, a "Plantbuilder" is also in the works. With this tool, consumers can compile their ideal plant based on specific criteria, such as location, color, amount of sunlight, care and animal friendliness. Eventually, a top three plant list and suggestions of more suitable plants will roll out from this.
